Hi, I’m Nat! I am a skilled 3D animator and generalist who is passionate about the future of the games industry locally and further afield, as well as the impact of games and technology in our daily lives.
I am currently the Animation and Motion Capture lead at Mighty Eyes, working on Wanderer: The Fragments of Fate.
Within this role I oversee and direct our mocap shoots and facial capture, as well as work closely with the development team on more technical animation solutions within Unreal Engine 5. I lead a team of 2 other junior animators to create highly polished animations.
I was a 3D Generalist with SkillsVR, who create VR training and gamified learning outcomes for businesses.
As a 3D Generalist I worked across all areas of the asset and character creation pipelines, specifically environment and asset creation, as well as more technical integration support and animation support within Unity and Blender.
I was the lead 3D animator and mocap director for Wanderer, a VR story driven time travel adventure game.
Primarily I focused on the character animation pipeline, using Rokoko Smartsuits for body capture and Unreal Livelink with Apple ARKit for facial capture. I worked with motion capture animation, as well as keyframe animation for non-human and creature animation using Motionbuilder and Maya. I worked closely with developers on animation integration in UE4 with our character locomotion system.
I also worked within the art team in a generalist capacity, such as rigging touchups and blendshape creation, as well as UV remapping and collision creation.
I have worked with a wide variety of softwares and skills for B2B apps and games in AR and VR. At Conical I worked on all aspects of the 3D pipeline, from modeling and rigging through to animating - pose to pose animation as well as motion capture and facial capture. I am proficient working with front end Unity development, I have also done minor work as a technical artist in Unity.
To date I have worked on 10 mobile apps, both AR and VR, as well as 3 VR experiences developed in both Unity and Unreal.
I was the lead 3D and graphic designer for the startup Perfit, a small team looking at revolutionizing the way we buy clothes online. I took real world body measurements to create base 3D avatars, body morphers to customise the avatars, and worked on rigging, texturing, and skinning. I also utilized Adobe's Creative Suite to create promotional videos and images for Perfit.
I worked with BigLittleBang's artists on their children's MMORPG Star86 to create prop and environment assets.
